Thankful Turkey
Everyone took a plain, white turkey feather home to decorate for homework. As the feathers started returning to school, we added them to our project in the hallway. Each feather was different and special in its own way, just like all of the students in our classroom! I am so incredibly thankful for all of the smart little turkeys I have the oppurtunity to teach each day, and I'm pretty sure they teach me more than I teach them. I am blessed. :)
Angry Birds Writing
This project was so much fun! After reading an informational piece about Angry Birds and the many characters on the game, we chose our favorite birds to write narrative stories about. We worked through all of the stages of the writing process, and everyone really took pride in their final copies! Writing is fun...especially when it's ANGRY!:)
Rockin' Into 2013!
We welcomed the New Year with our rockin' resolutions. Everybody puts lots of time and thought into this project, and I was overwhelmed by the ideas that were brought forth. I sure do have some creative, insightful, reflective, and ambitious students! Resolutions ranged from mastering multiplication facts and raising reading levels, to collecting items for charity and being a better christian friend. My goal for the remainder of this school year is to do everything in my power to help ALL of my students achieve the desires of their hearts.
